This experimental project brings together the disciplines of music, art, and design to create a unique multimedia experience inspired by Robert Schumann's Scenes from Childhood. Through a collaborative effort, live piano performance by Professor Donna Lee is paired with animated watercolor paintings by artist Karin Dijkstra, with animations by designer Gretchen Rinnert.

 

The project emphasizes the interplay of music and visual storytelling, using Schumann's compositions as a guide for timing and emotional resonance. This innovative synthesis aims to enhance the audience's experience by blending auditory and visual arts in a harmonious narrative.
